The Montreal Children’s Hospital Trauma Programs team up with The Montreal Canadiens’ Christopher Higgins - Response from Barin-Pad, Inc.: This is a HUGE step in the right direction, in bringing to light the obvious that:
- " Jaw impacts transfer energy into and across the TMJ sockets through this unprotected PORT into the base of Skull and Brain.".
- Many professional trainers and even some team doctors have been unwilling to accept this Lower Jaw Impact Danger. Yet a boxer knows to aim for the Jaw to Knock out his opponent. And even the best helmet is tightened against the chin( the front of the Jaw ). So any impacts to the facemask force the Lower Jaw back into the TMJ sockets".
