$100,000 in New Mouthguards to be Donated to Organizations in Need
May 15, 2014 (Quincy, MA) – Good Sports, a national non-profit organization that provides sports equipment to disadvantaged youth, has received a generous donation of 8,000 brand new mouthguards from Brain-Pad. The donation is worth $100,000 and will be used to support youth programs across the country. Good Sports has found the demand for quality mouthguards is extremely high, especially as football season approaches. “Providing the kids we support with the proper equipment is of the utmost importance to Good Sports, and we find year to year mouthguards are one of our most commonly requested items,” said Christy Keswick, Chief Operating Officer at Good Sports. “Brain-Pad is a leader in the industry, and their generous contribution of high-quality mouthguards will enable Good Sports to fulfill a consistent need in the community, allowing more children to be healthy and active.”
“Keeping kids active and involved in sport programs is a responsibility we all need to be involved with," said Joseph Manzo, President and CEO at Brain-Pad, Inc. “We are happy to have found an organization like Good Sports to partner with in helping us help young athletes participate in various types of athletics which are important in their developmental stages. We are also happy to help protect these young athletes from common injuries that are easily lessened or avoidable. This is a give back to the community that really feels good.”
This donation marks the launch of a partnership between the two organizations. As part of this relationship, Brain-Pad will provide Good Sports with equipment to be distributed to sports and fitness programs serving children in need, working collaboratively towards the shared goal of getting more kids off the sidelines and into the game.
